1. General Wellness Information Only
Nini is a self-care, sleep-routine, relaxation, and general wellness application provided by CipherQ Tech LLP. It is not a medical device and has not been designed, validated, or cleared by the FDA or any medical authority to diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, monitor, or screen for any disease, injury, sleep disorder, psychiatric condition, or health condition.
Nini does not provide medical advice or professional healthcare services. No content, estimate, prompt, result, notification, recording, chart, recommendation, or AI coach response in Nini should be interpreted as a diagnosis, prescription, medical instruction, or substitute for care from a qualified licensed healthcare provider.
Use of Nini does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, or other healthcare-professional relationship with CipherQ Tech LLP.
2. Sleep Score, Chronotype, and Educational Estimates
Nini's scores, trends, classifications, and suggestions are simplified in-app mathematical tools for personal self-reflection. They are not clinical diagnostic measurements and should never be used to confirm that your sleep is healthy or to rule out a medical sleep disorder.
Inputs may be subjective, incomplete, influenced by illness, medication, travel, caffeine, shift work, or device constraints. All scoring algorithms run 100% locally on-device with Zero Server Medical Profiling.
3. Apple Health & Device-Provided Information
When you explicitly grant permission, Nini reads Apple Health Sleep Analysis records shared by you (including asleep intervals and Awake, REM, Core, and Deep sleep stages). These samples may originate from Apple Watch or other integrated third-party sensors.
Nini does not independently verify consumer sensor accuracy, calibrate wearable optical sensors, or guarantee that health samples are clinically accurate. Consumer wearable sleep tracking is not equivalent to clinical overnight polysomnography (PSG).
Nini reads Apple Health information exclusively for in-app display and does not write or overwrite your Apple Health data. Never use Nini's Apple Health summary to alter medication, medical treatment, or clinical care decisions.
4. Microphone and Sleep Recording
The Sleep Recorder stores audio locally on your device only after you explicitly tap Start Recording and authorize microphone access. Nini examines audio amplitude to highlight louder periods for playback review.
An amplitude marker is not a medical diagnosis or classification of snoring, obstructive sleep apnea, respiratory cessation, sleep talking, or seizures. Absence of sound does not prove that an event did not occur. The recorder is not a medical monitoring system and may be influenced by distance, background fans, blankets, pets, ambient noise, or device microphone sensitivity.
Ensure you comply with all applicable local recording and two-party consent laws before recording in shared bedrooms.
5. Breathing, Somatic & Sleep Exercises
Nini's 4-7-8 breathing patterns, progressive muscle relaxation (PMR), bedtime stretching, yoga nidra, and mobility exercise routines are optional general-wellness activities. They are not physical therapy, respiratory therapy, or medical rehabilitation.
- Maintain a natural, comfortable pace. Never force, strain, or hold your breath beyond what feels safe and comfortable.
- Stop immediately if you experience pain, dizziness, lightheadedness, numbness, shortness of breath, hyperventilation, or panic.
- Perform movements only in a clear, stable space. Avoid positions that aggravate pre-existing back, joint, cardiovascular, or balance conditions.
- Individuals with asthma, COPD, cardiac arrhythmia, epilepsy, or who are pregnant should consult their physician before performing extended breath-retention cycles.
- A parent or guardian should supervise any child utilizing breathing or guided movement features.
6. Audio, Frequencies & Binaural Beats Safety
Nini's soundscapes, white/brown/pink noise, 432Hz sleep frequencies, delta binaural beats, and spoken audiobooks are intended solely for ambient relaxation. They are not clinically proven to cure insomnia, eliminate anxiety, or alter neurological brainwave architecture in a predictable medical manner.
NEVER listen to Nini sleep sounds, bedtime stories, binaural beats, or practice breathing exercises while driving a motor vehicle, operating machinery, cycling, swimming, or engaging in activities requiring active alertness.
Prolonged exposure to white noise or audio at high volumes can cause hearing fatigue, tinnitus, or hearing damage. Keep playback at a comfortable, low-to-moderate ambient level (recommended below 60 dB SPL).
Discontinue listening if you experience headaches, dizziness, agitation, or ringing in the ears.
7. Alarms, Smart Lights & Connected Features
Nini alarms, smart wake windows, bedtime reminders, local notifications, Philips Hue smart lighting triggers, Apple Watch integrations, widgets, and iCloud syncing depend on operating system permissions, battery power, Do Not Disturb / Focus modes, volume controls, and third-party hardware availability.
Notifications and alarms may occasionally fail, be silenced, or experience delays. Do NOT rely on Nini as your sole alarm for time-sensitive medication, medical caregiving, flight departures, employment obligations, or critical safety tasks. Always maintain an independent primary backup alarm.
8. Clinical Sleep Disorders & When to Seek Professional Care
Always consult an appropriately qualified medical doctor or sleep physician if you experience symptoms of clinical sleep disorders, including:
- Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA): Chronic loud snoring, choking or gasping for air during sleep, observed breathing pauses, or morning headaches. Requires clinical polysomnography (PSG).
- Chronic Insomnia: Difficulty falling or staying asleep lasting more than 3 months. Evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) should be directed by licensed clinicians.
- Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) / PLMD: Uncomfortable crawling sensations or involuntary limb jerking at night.
- Narcolepsy, Cataplexy, or Excessive Daytime Sleepiness.
- Parasomnias: Sleepwalking, sleep terrors, or dream enactment behaviors.
Never start, stop, or modify prescription sleep medications, CPAP therapy, or medical treatments based on Nini content. Follow instructions directly from your licensed healthcare team.
9. Accuracy & Your Responsibility
Wellness research and digital technology evolve continuously. While CipherQ Tech LLP strives to maintain high-quality sound engineering and evidence-based sleep hygiene information, we do not warrant that any suggestion, story, exercise, audio frequency, or feature is effective or suitable for your individual physiology.
